Brief History:

Our first in-country step was facilitated by Dr. Ebun Ekunwe a then staff of UNICEF. It began with a house fellowship in October 2003.

God asked her to start Sunday service with an assurance from 2 Kings 3:17. It says. ‘For this is what the Lord says; Make this valley full of ditches. You will neither see wind nor rain, yet this valley will be filled with water and you, your cattle and other animals will drink’.

In obedience, a place was found in Port Moresby City Mission.

The first Sunday Service started on February 2004, with 24 people in attendance. God is faithful. The name of the Parish Sure Foundation, is based on Isaiah 28:16. ‘Behold, I lay a stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation…’ (NIV)

The church has partnered with Radio Light to give away Bibles to people, clothes have been given to Cheshire Home.

Several months after the inauguration of the Sure Foundation Parish, the mother church sent a full-time pastor; to the glory of God, Pastor Idowu Onamusi arrived in PNG on November 2004.

Since his arrival in the country, there has been great progress in the church to the Glory of God. The Church has Adult Sunday school classes in English, Tok pisin and Motu Languages. The Church has an on-going quarterly prayer and fasting program-Special Spiritual Walk. The first set of the School of Disciple program has started. The church now has 12 house fellowship centres.

City Mission Hall, Koki,  Port Moresby,  Papua New Guinea.

Sunday Service: Sunday School (Adult & Children) - 9.00 am to 10.00am

Main Service: Celebration of Jesus – 10.00 am to 12.00noon.

Saturdays: Bible Study – 2.00pm to 4.00pm

 Women Program: Every last Saturday of the Month – 12.00noon to 2.00pm
